Commodities Business Analyst

Lunalogic UK is looking for a senior/experienced BA to assist framing current controls performed on specific Operations activities covering Commodities in the current Commodity Trading and Risk Management framework, to be translated to the targeted new system implementation.

The mission will consist in post executions tasks to be formalized from the current Sophis environment to the targeted Murex environment, specifically on Gas & Power activities to begin with.

Interactions with our client’s operations teams as well as internal Stakeholders from London FO to Head Office Ops & IT will be necessary.

The mission requires understanding the current Middle Officer tasks performed on a a day to day  and formalize these processes under the new Murex environment.

Main responsibilities:

• Immerse in the daily production and propose a formalized process and controls description (workflows, flow chart, process description) based on current Sophis activity
• Map existing controls with targeted new activity, focus on new controls specific to Gas & Power.
• Interact with project PO and IT teams Head Office based driving the new system implementation.
• Translate into formalized new operating procedures and controls descriptions of the new environment under Murex

Responsible for producing:

• Workflows and flow charts
• Process descriptions
• Controls matrix

• Understand Commodity derivatives products as well as Physical Gas & Power.
• Excellent formalization skills.
• Strong knowledge of trade processes and trade lifecycles.
• Capacity to analyse, challenge and formalize proposals for process improvements.
